How to improve the quality of contacts obtained (not just their quantity)

There are standard ways to obtain email contacts today. However, the real challenge is to obtain high-quality contacts – ones that have the potential to convert, respond to content, and deliver long-term value. That's why modern lead generation focuses not only on the number of emails collected, but also on their enrichment, context, and behavior.

Mailocator takes a systematic approach to this and allows you to work with the quality of contacts throughout the user's entire lifecycle.

Continuous enrichment of contacts and recognition of known users

Mailocator does not perceive a contact as a static record created by a one-time subscription process. On the contrary, it allows you to continuously update existing records as soon as the user reappears on the website or goes through another campaign.

Thanks to its connection to third-party tracking data, Mailocator can recognize users who have already been identified, for example, from a newsletter or other marketing channel. In such cases, a new contact is not created, but the existing one is enriched with new signals, behavior, or visit context.

The result is a cleaner database without duplicates and, at the same time, a deeper knowledge of each contact.

Preference centers as the key to genuine interest

The quality of a contact increases significantly when the user actively communicates what interests them. Mailocator therefore allows you to work with preference centers that can be linked directly to a subscribe campaign.

A typical scenario is the display of a short preference center in another campaign, where the user selects a circle of interest, content type, or product category. This information is much more accurate than mere inferences based on behavior.

Another option is to link to satisfaction surveys – for example, after completing a purchase or, conversely, in the event of a negative experience. The survey results can be used not only for segmentation, but also for immediate response, such as sending a discount voucher for the next purchase. This turns a one-time interaction into a tool for building relationships.

Signals that regular tracking does not capture

One of Mailocator's most powerful features is the ability to update contacts in the background with data that cannot be obtained through traditional analytical tracking.

Using the Update action, you can add information about:

  • views and clicks on infobox or notification campaigns,
  • aggregated behavioral signals,
  • exit-intent activation and the page from which it occurred,
  • triggering of Mailocatopr browse-burst events (rapid changes in content viewing),
  • reading of a specific article,
  • repeated visits to a specific page within a given time period,
  • economic signals - especially changes in the dataLayer and other objects.

These signals alone may not indicate a conversion, but when combined, they create a very accurate picture of the user's actual interest.

Result: quality comes from combining data

The true value of a contact does not come from a single click, but from combining multiple signals into a meaningful whole. Only the combination of behavior, preferences, context, and interaction history allows you to:

better segment your database

send more relevant content

increase open and click-through rates

improve customer retention

promote a positive customer experience

build long-term loyalty

T-Mailocator thus serves not only as a tool for collecting emails, but also as a data layer over user behavior that helps transform the quantity of contacts into their true quality.
